The Hulk moves slowly through the great void of space, its mass covered in super dense space hardened alloys. Individual vessels could be seen and picked out along the flanks and great swathes of rock were fusing them together.
There were glowing engine vents towards one end of the Hulk their combined power just making enough thrust to break the inertia holding the huge form in one vector. Where small asteroids were on a collision course a brief flare of colour spectrum pushed them away. The Void shields running at half strength as protection for the more vulnerable sections of the hull.
The glowing engines suddenly flared brighter; the very core of stars contained within their mighty shells. A hint of amber coloured the flare and the shields covering the entire frame of the Hulk became a visible glowing blue as reality tore asunder in a flash of darkness.
The Hulk flowed into the spreading darkness and the rock/ice/metal combination was lighted by a myriad of unseeable colour, the spectrum of visible light did not exist here only a mockery of such made whole by the very Warp itself.

“Too much involvement. I do not intend to hang around for days. I intend for us test the weapons a bit, steal the Titan and be the warp out of there, before we’re honestly noticed. Your Skitirii complement isn’t of concern, and mind you we’re stealing this Titan for well us, but mostly you at this moment. Besides that we’re already weakening this world’s defense by taking a God-Machine. I’d rather not do so further. No matter what we do, we are costing people their lives, and I’d rather make the smallest impact as possible Jaxom. So I suggest you find some kind of conveyor for this thing, before we ever get there.” Hans held the cigar in his fingers and grunted. This didn’t sit perfectly with him, taking such a weapon in such a fashion, but shit happened. He just didn’t intend to cost any more lives than he would to start with.
The Forge is doomed already, we would simply be removing usable assets while we could. I could send you to the surface using a Teleportation device so you remain undetected while I lead the evacuation of the survivors and war Machines?
“You do realize the hell that will rain down upon us, if anyone ever figures out we took a Titan? Every Imperial Agency including the Mechanicus will come down on us like lightning from the Emperor himself. We will not be able to run far enough of fast enough. So lets do this as quickly and quietly as possible, I’d rather not have the people who hate us, hate us anymore than they already do.”
“We would be commended by the Adeptus Mechanicus for not letting such a powerful God-Machine fall into the Arch-enemies hands. If we keep it safe or deliver it to another Legio Titanicus Forge world we shall be rewarded, even if we use it for our own ends.
At the very least the Nightmare can hide amongst the Halo ring of most Systems or in the Deep space sectors. Running “silent” the Hulk registers as a large asteroid and will be counted amongst the rest of the loose debris.
As far as I know, no organisation or person ‘hates’ me, what reason have they to hold me in such a regard?”
“That’s just because you don’t pay close enough attention. There are certain sects of the Mechanicus who aren’t pleased with your fiddling with tech and Xeno tech. That said, we aren’t gonna return this to the Legio Titanicus. Or to my understanding we were stealing it for good. Not borrowing it without asking.”
“I have been out of contact for some centuries… It may be so.
Regarding the Titan, I do not have the facilities to maintain it or re-supply it and I shall not abandon such an Avatar of the Ominssiah. Once we have no more use for it I shall return it. As to the rest of the Defending force, there are many flesh units due for processing and reclamation; ammunition to recover and vehicles to salvage. A true wealth of Materiel there for the taking.”
“Oh fine no theft…” Hans strokes his chin. “Well ammo and parts are always important to us. Maybe we’ll find something worth stealing on the way who knows.” He returns to Kres to continue instructing her shooting. “In the end it’ll be a good test for our weapon systems and that’s the important part.”
“Then I shall be able to extract and house the Defenders once you have been deployed to your weapons test? With the amount of transport craft available to me here it will not take long to access the units I wish to add to my contingent.”

Kreszentia lowered the gun again. “No. I… I shouldn’t raise my voice. But the subject is a delicate matter to those of us not as eager for those… mechanical things as you, Magos. But I apologise” She looked at Jaxom and smiled. “I did not mean to offend you. I just like the human body… au natural” She shook off a cold shiver that ran down her spine, as she thought about the surgery it would take to replace and arm, and slowly started her aiming routine over again.
Asktheradical - “See my dear, you’ve done just fine, a clean hit. Keep that up and I’ll have you a marksman in no time.” Hans patted her shoulders, and kissed her cheek. Looking over at Jaxom he nodded. “Indeed, it seems a good idea… That and we can steal… I mean liberate that Titan you were talking about. Do we have room for one of those aboard this thing?”
There are Mass conveyor vessels sunk into the “top” of the Nightmare they have the capacity to transport anything up to a Warlord class God-machine. The atmospheric transportation will need to be found planet-side but the Nightmare can cope with nearly any load.
“Ok, but we will need a Principes who’s willing to go along with this… And a Plan.” Hans started to contemplate how they were gonna manage this, but as it went through his head he figured it out and with a chuckle he pulled out a cigar from inside his overcoat. “I have a plan.”
“I had thought to actually aid the defence of Forge, reports have the invaders advancing on all fronts and my re-enforcements will bolster the fighting capacities of the defenders by a factor of 6. I calculate that it will slow the advance by a matter of days, long enough for you to locate a transporter big enough for a God-machine.
During the retreat from the Bastion we shall move all surviving units to the Nightmare and I shall add them to my complement of Tech-guard. There should be a supply of ACV’s to be recovered also and of course, the Titans.

Then where will you decree Inquisitor? There are bound to be some Xenos on board the Nightmare somewhere, they might take some time to locate however. It would be advisable to land somewhere and find them else where, this option would also give me first hand Data of your operations method.
I have had reports from a Forge class world in the Ultima Segmentum designated Schindelgheist. There has been a Chaos invasion there and a general call to arms has been issued. Normally I would not contemplate aiding such a Bastion of the Omnissiah’s might. However, there are God-Machines present on the surface and their power would be an exponential boost to my Exploration’s combat capacity.
“As long as Necromunda is out of the picture, anywhere else is fine with me” Kreszentia joined in, before following Hans’ instructions and taking a position, steadying herself, with equal balance, before taking a deep breath. She turned her head to the side, as if to get his approval, before aiming and squeezing the trigger.
The recoil sent her a few inches back, closer to Hans. She nodded slowly and moved on to the next target “Well, it’s not the plasma gun I’m used to, but it does seem very effective, Hans” She bit her lip, concentrating, and steadied herself again. “And this sure ain’t the hip fire I’m used to providing” she added in a low impatient voice.
“No it’s not my dear, but as I told you. We don’t shoot to wound.” He placed is hands on her slowly, and steadied her hands and shoulders. Whispering into her ear he guided her. “Breath in, breath out. Breath in, let it half out dear. Now hold it and squeeze the trigger to the rear.”
“If you were to agree with a Bionic arm upgrade you could eliminate all hand waver and increase accuracy by 7.98% with an optical upgrade you could calculate distances and weapon drop in seconds and your linked arm would adjust appropriately.
If you would like a smaller Plasma based weapon I am certain one could be found for you.
Does Schindelgheist seem like an acceptable location for a live weapons test?”
Kreszentia lowered the gun and turned to the Magos with an angry mine “Now, you hold your tongue about that! It is not an option. And that’s the end of that. My arm is not going anywhere” She looked around nervously, before turning back to Hans and trying to aim again. “Now I have to start all over” She sighed and repeated to herself “Breath in, breath out. Breath in, let it half out. Hold it and squeeze”
“A suspensor unit could be attached to the mass of the gun, or a stabiliser?
There is no need to raise your voice to me Castellan, it was simply a logical suggestion. However a suspensor would help with motive shooting.”

Kreszentia looked at the Magos surprised, hiding a smile. “I am quite sure your readings on us have nothing to do with the immunization, and I can also reassure you that I am quite fine now” She smiled and shared a brief look with the Inquisitor, before allowing Jaxom to continue.
At the mention of Necromunda, she froze and shook her head in denial. “No, the underhive will not be an option… I am afraid I must confess that I… I’d rather like to avoid a family reunion at the moment” She looked nervously from the Magos and over her shoulder to the Inquisitor “You know why, Hans…” she whispered, and tried to focus on the weapon she had been handed and the shot she was about to take, rather than her previous doings on Necromunda.
“Necromunda is not an… Acceptable testing ground for a number of reasons. My primary one being, I’d rather not expose any hive gangers, and or the local Arbites to new weapons tech.
